Another relief pitcher has come off the market.
Former Yankees forward Keiynan Middleton agreed to a contract with the Cardinals on Thursday night. The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed it..
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Yankees acquired Middleton last year at the Aug. 1 trade deadline with the White Sox, and he had a solid 1.88 ERA out of the bullpen in the Bronx with 17 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings.
Middleton, 30 years old; He was a Statcast favorite last season.ranks in the 97th percentile in average exit velocity and 96th in whiff rate.
In October, Middleton told the Post he was open to reuniting with the Yankees.
“To be honest, there aren’t too many other places we’re looking at,” Middleton said. “After coming here, I don’t know why I wouldn’t want to be here. If things work out in the end, I’d like to come here again. But we’ll see what happens.
“There are other players here like Gerrit Cole, Clay Holmes, Michael King, who are just pure greats. Being able to be around them and learn from them was very important to me. It was a big deal.”
The paper’s Jon Heyman reported last week that the Yankees had made low offers to relievers and could look to Middleton to fill that void.
But going forward, the Yankees will have to look elsewhere.

The Yankees had expressed some interest in bringing back left-hander Wandy Peralta, but he was traded to San Diego in a deal with the Padres.
However, the Bombers claimed Matt Gage off waivers and acquired him.
