Bernhard Langer recently announced that he will play his final Masters Tournament in April of this year. Unfortunately, that won’t happen anymore.
Langer announced Friday that he suffered a torn Achilles tendon.
“I tore my Achilles tendon yesterday while training in Boca Raton. I will undergo surgery today to repair the injury and will miss playing competitive golf until I recover,” Langer said on the PGA. said in a statement through the tour.
“Throughout my career, my faith and family have been my foundation, giving me strength and getting me through difficult times. I will draw on the strength of both as I prepare to return to competition. Masu.
“We appreciate everyone’s support during this time and look forward to welcoming fans and other competitors back on the course soon.”
He will be sidelined indefinitely as he rehabilitates his injury. Given the German native’s age of 66, one may wonder if golf fans will ever see Langer at Augusta National again.

Not only is Langer a two-time Masters Champion, winning in 1985 and 1993, he is also the winningest player in PGA Tour Champions history.
He has dominated the senior circuit, winning a record 12 senior majors. He has 46 career wins on the Champions Tour and 42 on the European Tour.
It’s a great sign that Langer’s mentality seems to be someone who plans to compete again. But it would be a loss for all his fans around the world if we saw the last of him on the golf course.
