Stefon Diggs was less clear about the Bills’ future in his first public comments since the team was eliminated from the playoffs in the AFC divisional round.
Diggs’ lack of production in the second half of last season and his nearly $28 million cap hit in 2024 have some speculating that the Bills may choose to part ways with their star receiver.
Diggs addressed the media at the Pro Bowl game on Friday.
“I feel like I’m realizing it more and more every day.” Diggs told reporters., according to ESPN. “Obviously, a lot of changes are happening, a lot of things are happening. I can’t put the cart before the horse, you know what I’m saying?
“But we had a great offseason in front of us, putting in a lot of work and building around what we got and what we’re doing now. I can’t say what the future holds, but I I’m still me.”
Diggs has four years left on his contract and is scheduled to make nearly $20 million in each of the next four seasons.
The 30-year-old Diggs’ contract is likely to expire after the 2025 season, and given his ineffectiveness after taking a high-cap hit late in the season, the four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro is… His contract may be restructured this offseason. NBC’s Peter King reported in January..
Bills general manager Brandon Beane publicly supported Diggs after the team lost to the Chiefs in the playoffs. In that game, Diggs suffered a crucial drop in the fourth quarter, making just three catches for 21 yards.
“We have to keep our weapons in place to make sure teams don’t corral him or lock him up in different ways and take him away.” Bean said. “Steph can still play. I’m sure he wants to get that deep ball again. He’ll be the first to tell you, he’s very competitive. He’s very competitive this offseason. We’re going to give our all to the season. I know there’s a lot of reasons and questions about this and his production, but I still think of Steph as the No. 1 receiver.”

Diggs had 70 catches, 834 yards, and seven touchdowns in the first nine games of the regular season, accumulating 100 yards in five different contests.
However, in the final eight games of the year, he failed to reach 100 yards once, reached 50 or more yards only twice, and had 37 catches for 349 yards and one touchdown.
In the playoffs, Diggs was limited to 10 catches for 73 yards despite having 17 targets.
