Hootie & the Blowfish singer Darius Rucker was arrested Thursday in Tennessee on a minor drug charge.
Rucker was arrested on a minor drug offense and charged with three separate misdemeanors, according to law enforcement records.around Yahoo News:
The country singer was taken into custody on Thursday, February 1, 2023, at approximately 10 a.m. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Department booked the singer, and he posed for a mug shot.
It is unclear what led to his arrest, but the musician was arrested on two charges: “simple possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance” and violating the state’s vehicle registration law. The vehicle charges relate to the vehicle he was traveling in having expired tags.
An hour later, the singer was taken into custody and released. Parental rights.
Police have not released any other information regarding Rucker’s arrest. He has been open in the past about heavy partying, including drinking and drugs.
“Doing drugs and drinking every night, I’ve done that myself,” Rucker said. Los Angeles Times.
