CNN’s Dana Bash presses Haley on whether Trump ‘has a problem with women who challenge him’

CNN co-host Dana Bash tells Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley that a reported interaction between former President Trump and author E. Jean Carroll’s lawyer shows that the president has issues with women. I asked whether it was indicated.

“You alluded to one of the lawsuits, a civil trial against E. Jean Carroll and Roberta Kaplan, the attorney who represented her. During the recording, he said he became enraged that his team had served her lunch, threw papers on the table and stormed out. He also made veiled references to the c-word.” said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“You’re his rival now, but as you said in this interview, you’ve worked very closely with him. Do you think he has a problem with women challenging him? ?” Bash asked.

Haley, a former U.N. ambassador, deflected questions when Trump challenged her when they were cooperating, saying he had “respect” for her.

“Well, I challenged him a number of times and he actually handled it very well and was very respectful. If I saw him doing something wrong, I show up or call and say, “I can’t do that, but instead, do this, do this, do this,” Haley responded.

“That’s why he didn’t challenge me because he knew what I was saying and he knew I was looking out for America’s best interests. “When you look at it, I think there’s clearly a problem. He’s not a perfect person. He’s flawed,” she said.

Bash referenced comments from Carroll attorney Roberta Kaplan earlier this week that President Trump stormed out of the Mar-a-Lago deposition room because his team was feeding her lunch. He said it was because he requested it. She also said President Trump used a euphemism for her, calling her the “C-word.”

“At that moment, there was a huge pile of papers and exhibits in front of him, and he picked it up and threw it across the table, and then he stormed out of the room,” Kaplan said. told the podcast host George Conway and Sarah Longwell in an interview last week.
