Some members of the NFL fan base are tired of TV networks showing Taylor Swift cheering on her boyfriend Travis Kelce during Chiefs games.
Kelsey’s brother Jason has a message for his fans.
“It gets attention because the crowd wants to see it,” said the Eagles center, 36. He told Cincinnati’s WCPO-TV. during Friday’s Pro Bowl festivities. “I mean, if people didn’t want to see it, they wouldn’t show it, I understand that.”
“She’s a world star. She’s the most quintessential artist in the world right now, a singer-songwriter, extremely talented and an incredible role model for young women around the world. So, the NFL I think it would probably be foolish for her not to show up and be a role model for all the young girls out there.”
Swift, 34, has frequently attended Chiefs games throughout the NFL season since he first appeared at a home game against the Bears on Sept. 24, when attention to Swift and Kelce’s relationship first exploded. .
The network has a habit of showing Kelsey, 34, her reactions to the plays she’s involved in and the time she spends with Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany.
She attended all three of the Chiefs’ wins in the NFL playoffs, including the one where she was booed upon arriving at the Bills’ stadium for the divisional round.
That day, Jason was shirtless, drinking beer and interacting with fans in his suite, attracting a lot of attention.
It was after the Chiefs vs. Bills game that Giants great Tiki Barber finally got tired of watching Swift during games.
“[Kelce] scores a touchdown and immediately pans to Taylor Swift! ” Barber said on WFAN with Evan Roberts on January 22nd. “Again? Not even Travis Kelce. I don’t want to say I’m offended, probably because of Taylor Swift’s influence, but I’m just a little annoyed with the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s just that they’re always here. It’s also because you’re there. After you’ve been there for a long time and been successful, it becomes inevitable.
“Why do you guys keep showing Taylor Swift? The obsession is getting annoying. Why do I need to see her?”
Despite having an Elas Tour show in Tokyo on February 10th, Swift is expected to be in Las Vegas for the Chiefs vs. 49ers game, so he won’t be attending the 2024 Super Show on CBS on February 11th. Fans won’t be able to rest during the bowl.
