Stage sensation Jay-Z spoke some brutal truths in his Grammy acceptance speech on Sunday, slamming how the Academy of Music has treated black singers for years while also addressing ongoing issues. A crime wave terrorizes Los Angeles.

Jay-Z received the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award in recognition of his career as a producer, but spent much of his speech criticizing racism at the Grammys, particularly when rapper DMX was ignored in 1998. He used it to criticize Jay-Z’s wife, Beyoncé, for not winning the top Grammy award. award.
“I don’t want to embarrass this young woman, but she’s won more Grammys than anyone and she’s never won Album of the Year,” Jay-Z said of Beyoncé. “So even by your own standards, it doesn’t work. Think about it. Won the most Grammys. Never won Album of the Year. It doesn’t work. plug.”

He added: “We want everyone to get it right.”
Jay-Z also addressed the crime wave that has plagued LA in recent years under Democratic administrations.
“Some people will feel like they’ve been robbed,” he said Sunday. “Some of you will be robbed.”
In 2022, crimes such as murder, rape, robbery, armed assault, and robbery increased by nearly 12% in LA.
Los Angeles County recently enacted a zero bail policy, allowing offenders to return to the streets without paying bail while awaiting their day in court.
This radical measure was the result of pressure from left-wing activists who argue that cash bail is racist.
