Whether Jason Kelce will retire is one of the big questions of the offseason, but Travis Kelce hinted at the 2024 Super Bowl opener Monday in Las Vegas that it’s still on the table.
That question has lingered ever since it was first reported that Jason Kelce told teammates he was going to hang up his cleats after the Eagles’ loss to the Buccaneers.
During an episode of the New Heights podcast he co-hosts with Travis Kelce, his brother suggested that no final decision has been made yet, and the Chiefs tight end reiterated that on Monday.
“I’ll tell you, I think it’s still up in the air whether he’s going to continue playing football or not,” Travis Kelce told 11-year-old reporter Jeremiah Fennell during Monday’s Super Bowl event.
Jason Kelce, who spent his entire career in Philadelphia and won a Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2018, appears to be trying to find a way to continue playing.
“Jason Kelce says he’s not retiring,” reads a video that started circulating on social media and was shared by Crossing Broad.

The video was taken while Kelce was at the Pro Bowl over the weekend, signing autographs for fans.
Jason Kelce heard a voice say, “For the love of football, please don’t retire.”
“I try not to,” Jason Kelce replied.
Jason Kelce announced last March that he would return for the 2023 NFL campaign “after discussions with his wife and many other friends and family members.”
Jason Kelce is a six-time first-team All-Pro selection and a seven-time Pro Bowler.
He was selected 191st overall in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Jason, Travis, and the Kelsey family started dating as the brothers, who play in the NFL, started a podcast together in September 2022, and Travis Kelce started dating pop superstar Taylor Swift in September 2023. He quickly rose to stardom.
