Colts’ Jim Irsay says he is ‘on the mend’ after suspected overdose

Jim Irsay made his first public comments since he was found unresponsive in his Carmel, Indiana, home in December after a suspected overdose.

The 64-year-old Colts owner said: Post to X There has been a positive change in his health.

“Getting better. Thank you for all the messages of love and support,” Irsay wrote, ending the post with a heart emoji.

This message was posted on Irsay’s X account by the NFL owner himself. A source told ESPN.Even if Irsay sometimes has team staff members post in his place.

ESPN reported that the Colts have been operating without any input from Irsay since his health issues began, and it’s unclear when he will be able to recover and return to work.

The Colts said in a statement last month that Irsay “continues to recover from a respiratory illness” and “will not comment further on his personal health.”

The team also asked the public to respect Irsay’s privacy.

Ursai has dealt with a number of health issues in recent years and has been very candid about his past addictions, telling HBO Sports in November that he has been to rehab “at least 15 times” while suffering a near-fatal injury. He also talked about the incident. It’s now code blue.

Police were called to a home in Indiana around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 8 after Irsai was found unconscious on the bathroom floor. TMZ first reported.
