Ravens stars praise Lamar Jackson for winning second MVP Award: ‘He’s one of one’

The Baltimore Ravens’ season didn’t end as expected, but one player has the hardware in place for a stellar season.

Lamar Jackson won his second MVP award on Thursday night, becoming the 11th player to be named MVP twice.

Jackson led the Ravens to a 13-4 record and the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs.

Ravens defensive stars Kyle Hamilton and Kyle Van Noy, who signed Bounty as part of the wingman program during the Super Bowl, spoke about Jackson’s honor.

“He deserves it. Watching it every day, watching what he does even in games, it kind of numbs us. He’s going to make some crazy plays, and we’re like, ‘Damn. , that’s Lamar,”’ Hamilton told Fox News Digital in a recent interview.

“But from the outside looking in, he’s a one-of-a-kind player. It’s a blessing to play with him and see him up close and personal. It’s great and I’m a great player for him. I’m happy.”

“He’s the MVP on the field and off the field,” Van Noy added. “He does everything right. He’s a great teammate. He makes everyone feel included. He doesn’t make himself important, he makes the team important.” And I always respect that.”

“And the way he played, everyone wants to complain about his performance. But when you watch the games, when he’s dominating people, he played very well in a short amount of time. “Oh, that’s MVP.” “I think a lot of people these days are obsessed with statistics and analysis, but if you look at the tape, Lamar is the MVP.” We know that, and that was shown by the votes that he got.”

That’s high praise from Van Noy, who just completed his 10th NFL season and won two Super Bowls with Tom Brady.

Van Noy wasn’t ready to rank Jackson on his personal list yet.

“I didn’t answer that question. You’re trying to get me now, too,” he joked. “He’s obviously one of the best players, that’s for sure.”

Jackson threw for a career-high 3,678 yards and rushed for an additional 821 yards. His 5,258 career rushing yards rank fourth all-time among quarterbacks. He is only 851 points behind Michael Vick, so there is a chance Jackson will surpass Vick in 2024.
