A Woonsocket, Rhode Island, man is being praised Tuesday for saving a young child from an extremely dangerous situation.
Neighbors were shocked when the toddler was found wandering on the roof of a building near downtown, WJAR reported. report Wednesday.
Michelle Higgins told the outlet she was worried her small child would fall from her balcony on South Main Street. However, an anonymous man realized what was going on and took matters into his own hands.
Higgins said the toddler was pacing back and forth toward the edge near the open window when the man told the child to get back.
The man then climbed onto the side of the building and picked up the child before it was too late. “My son keeps saying he has to be Spider-Man,” Higgins said.

The man then looked into the window with the toddler on his hip, apparently trying to figure out how he got onto the roof.
“I’m glad he was walking to save the baby or something,” one neighbor said. Said When WPRI learned of the incident, it said:
Another man said jokingly: “Mom always says she can tell they’re doing something wrong when they’re too quiet.”
Law enforcement officials say the child’s mother left the window open to let in some air because it was too hot. The window was apparently near the bed in the house.
“He saved my baby’s life,” said one social media user. Said The man who rescued the infant and another person commented“Relax, Spidey, he’s got this.”
