Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is known as one of the most passionate coaches in the NFL. His leadership helped rebuild the Lions.

Despite going into the locker room at halftime with a 24-7 lead against the San Francisco 49ers, Detroit lost by three points. However, Lions Pro Bowl pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson revealed that Campbell shared a bold prediction with the team immediately after the loss.

The Lions will keep both coordinators and should help Detroit win next season. Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn have interviewed for head coaching positions with other teams, but both assistants will remain with the Lions.
Johnson recently completed his second season as the team’s offensive coordinator. The 37-year-old was the man behind one of the best offenses in the NFL in 2023. Since Johnson was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2022, the Lions have averaged the fourth-most points per game in the league.

He served as the team’s passing game coordinator in 2021. Detroit’s 387.4 yards per game was the best in the league.

Rookies Jahmil Gibbs and Sam LaPorta found success in their first seasons in Johnson’s offense. Both players received Rookie of the Year consideration. Johnson was able to make creative plays throughout the season, with four Lions players finishing the year with over 500 yards from scrimmage.

Lions general manager Brad Holmes will be in charge of adjusting the 2024 roster to get it as close to the Super Bowl as possible. If the Lions fulfill Campbell’s promise, they will reach the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history.
