Super Bowl XV was a close game Sunday, with the Kansas City Chiefs barely defeating the San Francisco 49ers in overtime. However, many of the millions of people watching television were paying more attention to the advertisements than to the products on the ground.

Here are five of the best advertising spots for the big game.

Boston’s biggest celebrities, Ben Affleck, Mark Wahlberg, and even Tom Brady, want to be on Jennifer Lopez’s next album. That’s right. Add a diss to Alex Rodriguez and an image of Affleck dancing enthusiastically, and you’ve got an interesting ad.

State Farm pivots away from Jake

State Farm Insurance debuted a new personality on Sunday: State Farm Agent, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. But the action hero has trouble pronouncing the company’s iconic jingle.

Paramount’s “Mountain of Entertainment”

CBS’ parent company went all out with Super Bowl advertising on its network. The ad depicts Patrick Stewart throwing football-headed Arnold off a cliff to outsmart the Miami Dolphins’ Tua Tagavioloa, all set to the soundtrack of Creed.
