An average of 123 million people watched Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, the largest audience in broadcast television history.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers averaged 123.4 million viewers across all platforms, including CBS Television Network, Paramount+, Nickelodeon, Univision, CBS Sports, Univision, and NFL Digital properties, including NFL+ gained an audience of
CBS said Monday night’s numbers were based on Nielsen First National data and Adobe Analytics.
This year’s game will break the previous record set by last year’s Super Bowl, which brought in 115 million viewers on Fox.
A total of 120 million viewers watched the game on CBS, the largest audience ever for a single network, led by Paramount+’s record audience. It was announced that it was the most streamed Super Bowl in history. We do not provide streaming numbers.
The network estimated how much 200 million viewers tuned in to watch all or part of Sunday’s game, setting a new record for total viewers and a 10 percent increase over last year’s game.
The buzz surrounding this year’s Super Bowl was especially loud given the high-profile romantic relationship between Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop megastar Taylor Swift.
Advertising for Sunday’s game is reported to be over $7 million for a 30-second slot, which is also a record.
