The resolution “condemns all rape and all forms of sexual violence, including acts by Hamas terrorists, as weapons of war” and “requires all countries to criminalize rape and sexual violence, including those committed by states and non-governmental organizations.” We call for all perpetrators of sexual violence to be held accountable.” – State armed group. ”

“There are some subjects that are very difficult to talk about, but it’s our responsibility to do so,” Frankel said on the House floor Wednesday.

“Hamas’ actions, which continue after October 7, are almost difficult to talk about, inflicting rape, mutilation, burning and psychological torture, unleashing a trauma that continues to plague a grieving Israel.” she said.

“Shockingly and alarmingly, Hamas violence is shrugged off and many people deny it in many parts of the world. Such weapons terrorize and traumatize their victims. It has been used around the world throughout history to protect people, but that is not enough.” “We understand, we must never allow it to become the norm. Our resolution affirms that sexual violence is a crime against humanity.” It brings clarity,” Frankel said.

Rep. Tlaib said he was “upset” that the resolution “completely ignores and erases all sexual violence” allegedly committed by IDF forces. These claims are baseless.

The resolution also calls on all international organizations to “unequivocally condemn the barbaric murders, rapes, sexual assaults, and kidnappings committed by Hamas and other terrorists” since October 7, and to hold all perpetrators accountable. I am asking you to pursue it.
