Hsu’s investigation into President Joe Biden’s handling of classified materials led to requests for records and recordings earlier this week, and House Republicans also requested his testimony.
In addition, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has been asked by House Republicans to release all transcripts and tapes of interviews between Mr. Xu and Mr. Biden.
Despite finding evidence that Biden “intentionally retained” the files, Xu issued a report last week citing Biden’s handling of classified documents while he was not in office. He said he would not recommend prosecution.
Mr. Xu also expressed his personal opinion that the president is an old man with memory problems. He described President Biden as “a sympathetic, well-meaning older man with a poor memory.”
However, the White House categorically denied the descriptions of Biden in Heo’s report, particularly regarding his poor mental acuity and memory.
