“Game over,” legal analyst Caroline Polisi said on MSNBC’s special coverage of the Georgia hearing on Fulton District Attorney Fani Willis’ competency in the election interference case against former President Donald Trump.
Co-anchor Andrea Mitchell says, “You’re watching MSNBC’s special coverage of the trial of Donald Trump. You just saw the disqualification of prosecutor Fani Willis and lead prosecutor Nathan Wade in Fulton County, Georgia. I was observing a public hearing for the prosecutor’s office, Robin Yearty.
Co-anchor Jose Diaz-Balart said, “Caroline, we’ve been watching this and it’s very law-centered and very important and interesting.”
Referring to the controversy over the timeline of Willis and Wade’s relationship, Polis said: Don’t be fooled by legal experts. This is epic. This is monumental. If things are going in the direction that we think Fani Willis lied in court, then it’s game over for her. She will be disqualified. If they had a relationship before telling the truth in court, that would be a big deal. It cannot be overstated. ”
