Video shows heavy equipment dangling off Wisconsin parking garage after it tipped over while clearing snow

The heavy equipment operator was not injured after heavy equipment tipped over on its side while clearing snow at a parking lot in Wisconsin on Thursday, the Madison Fire Department said.

Fire officials said the operator was attempting to dump a large amount of snow from the top floor of a seven-story garage onto the side of a parking ramp when the device lost its balance and tipped over onto the side of the ramp. .

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 15th.

Officials said the operator was able to crawl out the rear window and return to safety before rescuers arrived.

The Madison Fire Department Heavy Urban Rescue Team responded and safely secured the machine from falling over the edge.

A local towing service was also dispatched to return the equipment to level ground.

The crew was able to bring the device back to the ground by using the snow that had accumulated beneath it as leverage.
