A majority of voters believe former President Donald Trump’s term in office was a success, even though they think President Joe Biden’s tenure in the White House was a failure.
The Rasmussen Report’s latest national telephone and online survey found that 40% of likely U.S. voters believe Biden’s term so far has been successful, including This includes 9% who consider it completely successful. Fifty-eight percent (58%) view Biden’s presidency as a failure, including 40% who say it was a total failure.
The poll also found that Americans view President Donald Trump’s inauguration as a success.
56% rated it a success and 22% said it was a complete success.

By comparison, voters generally supported Trump. Rasmussen said 56% rated Trump’s presidency a success and 22% rated it a “complete success.” And he said 42% failed.
Some Democrats agree, with 28% calling Trump’s presidency a success, with 11% calling it an “absolute success.”
Still, many surveys continue to show the general election to be a close race. The latest poll from The Economist and YouGov, for example, found the split was 44% to 44%.
