An 80-year-old Canadian woman suffering from Alzheimer’s disease has been brutally raped by another tourist in the Bahamas last month, her son claims, about two weeks before two American women also claim they were raped on the island. He claimed that he was awake. Country.

“He assaulted her in his room,” Ahrens wrote. “This is a despicable, unthinkable, unimaginable nightmare.”

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agent Tom Justice, who was in the Bahamas on assignment, was also involved in the search, the agency told Fox News Digital. He joined the search for Ahrens’ mother, walking from floor to floor screaming her name. Search parties then eventually spotted the mother and the suspect coming out of the elevator, and Justice quickly arrested them.

“When the door opened, my mother was there with this assailant,” Ahrens told WSOC-TV.

“He locked the man in the elevator…He got out of the elevator and they went to the lobby. He dragged him out and the police picked him up,” it added. “Her mother is home safe and sound. Her mother’s attitude is that she wants to put herself behind her and move on. She’s a warrior.”

Ahrens has also set up a GoFundMe page to raise money to cover medical costs, legal fees and co-pays related to the incident. The fundraiser had raised more than $8,200 as of Saturday morning.
