Truckers for Trump will boycott driving to New York City after $355M fraud ruling

A group of truck drivers who support former President Donald Trump say they will not drive to New York City to express their dismay over the civil fraud ruling that fined Trump more than $350 million. .

All this comes after Trump has been banned from operating a business in New York for three years and is liable for more than $350 million in damages in a civil fraud lawsuit filed by the New York attorney general against him, his family, and the Trump Organization. This is in response to the recognition that there is. Letitia James.

New York Judge Arthur Engoron issued the ruling Friday after a months-long trial that began in October, stemming from Mr. James’ lawsuit alleging that the former president inflated his assets and committed fraud. .

As a result, many pro-Trump truck drivers across the country are not taking the ruling lightly.

“I’m just one of the millions of truckers who believe in God and love this country,” the trucker known as “Chicago Ray” wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “I support Trump, Trump supports me. Pro-Trump trucker isn’t just a slogan, it’s real,” he wrote.

Chicago Ray sued X on February 16, the day the verdict was announced, and called on fellow truckers to boycott pickups into New York City.

“I have been talking to drivers on the radio for the past hour or so and have spoken to about 10 drivers,” Ray wrote. “I don’t know how widespread this is across the country or how many truckers will start rejecting shipments bound for New York City, but I’ll tell you what’s going to happen — you’ll find out when you look into it.” he said. .

The truck driver continued to issue a warning, saying Trump should be left alone and that New York City’s fraud investigation into him amounted to “election interference.”

One user responded to the post, writing, “Thank you for being true patriots! When all of us patriots stand up, we can make a difference. We will stop those who intentionally seek to destroy our country. We have to push back.”

Another user wrote, “Great, I hope all truckers refuse to go to New York! Enough is enough, our actions matter.”

Chicago Ray wasn’t the only one to voice support for Trump and opposition to the civil fraud ruling.

Elena Cardone, the wife of wealthy real estate investor Grant Cardone, created a GoFundMe page called “Stand with Trump and Fund the Wrongful $355 Million Judgment.” Her husband explained in X that “100% of the funds will go to the Trump Organization to defend this ‘ridiculous judgment’.”

“I stand firmly with President Donald Trump in the face of unprecedented mistreatment by some members of New York’s judiciary,” Cardone wrote.

“The latest legal battle he faces is not just an attack on him, but an attack on the very ideals of fairness and due process that all Americans deserve,” Cardone said. .
