Tlaib encourages Democrats to vote against Biden in Michigan

“Squad” member Rashida Tlaib publicly encouraged progressives to vote against President Biden in Michigan’s upcoming Democratic primary to protest support for Israel’s war against Hamas.

“Right now we feel completely ignored and ignored by our government. If you want us to have more of a voice, come here and vote irresponsibly,” she said in a statement on “Listen.”・To Michigan,” he said in a video posted.

The Hear Michigan campaign, sponsored by Tlaib’s sister Leila Elabed, is encouraging people to vote unopposed for Democrats in the upcoming Great Lakes state primary on February 27th. .

Tlaib (D-Mitch) is the only Palestinian-American and one of two Muslim women to serve in Congress. She has long found herself at odds with Biden and many Congressional Democrats over the Israel conflict.

“As you all know, it is important not only to march against genocide, but also to call on our legislators and local electors to pass city resolutions across the country,” she added in the video.

“It’s also important to create a voting bloc, and it’s also important to create a kind of bullhorn that says enough is enough. We don’t want a country that supports wars and bombs.”
