After Trymaine Lee dropped her claim that black men were treated as criminals solely because of the color of their skin, Crump suggested that American laws were designed to specifically target black citizens.
“They created laws that criminalized our culture, black culture,” Crump said. “So, when I think about it,

“They come up with things to profile us,” the lawyer continued, pointing to baggy pants and trash-strewn front lawns as possible examples of race-specific causes for legal intervention. .
Crump also suggested that profiling was involved in the incident in which George Floyd allegedly tried to buy cigarettes with counterfeit money. This is illegal for men of all races.
