IN reporter arrested for threats against pro-Israel officials: ‘Kill every Jew’

A Fort Wayne, Indiana-based freelance reporter allegedly threatened to “kill all the Jews” and “shoot all pro-Israel U.S. government employees” in the city, according to a federal affidavit filed in court. He could be sentenced to up to five years in federal prison. last week.

Jeffrey Stevens, 41, is charged with using interstate communications to post threats, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison. According to his affidavit, he was first reported to the FBI after “several Facebook-related posts” following the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel.

In an interview with the FBI on February 2, Stevens admitted to posting on a CIA website that he intended to shoot and kill pro-Israel U.S. officials, according to the affidavit. He also admitted to sending Fort Wayne police a message on Facebook saying he would “kill all the Jews.”

During an interview, he said he was intoxicated when he posted the message, according to the affidavit.

Stevens also allegedly posted, “I will definitely eliminate all pro-Israel CIA personnel.”

Indiana reported that he was arrested for threatening pro-Israel officials.

The Detroit News first reported the affidavit on Monday.

The affidavit was filed on February 12 in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.

Stevens was arrested last week and will remain in custody, according to a federal judge’s Feb. 16 order.

Stevens’ attorney did not respond to a request for comment.
