Lindell Mays of Raytown, Missouri, and Dominic Miller of Kansas City will both be charged with second-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, prosecutors said.
However, information about the remaining two has not yet been made public as they are likely to be minors.
Additionally, photos of the individuals charged have not been released by law enforcement.
They are currently being held on $1 million bail after a shooting during a celebratory parade left one person dead and 22 hospitalized.
“The defendants participated in the Super Bowl parade and rally on February 14, 2024, and were in possession of firearms,” the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office said.
“An altercation ensued and shots were fired, ignoring the thousands of other people who were in the area.”
Meanwhile, the latest charges come after two teenagers were charged with using a firearm and resisting arrest. The teens were initially charged as juveniles, but authorities have said the charges could be upgraded to adults in the coming weeks.
The violence occurred Wednesday as thousands of fans gathered to celebrate the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory in back-to-back seasons.
Police said the shooting reportedly stemmed from an argument between the suspects, but the reason for the shooting is still under investigation.
As the shooting began, the crowd began to disperse, but heroic onlookers nearby were able to tackle the suspects as they attempted to flee the scene. The gunmen were reportedly held until authorities arrived and took them into custody.
Lisa López Gabran, 43, a mother of two, was killed in the shooting, and 12 other children were injured in the crossfire.
As of Saturday, all 12 children were released from the hospital in stable condition.
The victims range in age from 8 to 47, and one of them is in critical condition. The two reportedly recovered over the weekend.
