The annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) begins Thursday with its first full day of speakers.
The event, which officially began Wednesday and will begin in earnest Thursday, will include former President Trump, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), Rep. Elise Stefanik (R.N.Y.) and Christie of South Dakota. Key figures in the Republican Party, including the governor, are expected to participate. Noem (Republican) and former British Prime Minister Liz Truss.
Trump and his supporters have dominated the conference in recent years. This week, all eyes will be on which vice presidential candidate wins CPAC’s straw poll. In addition, speakers are likely to weigh in on several key issues, including abortion and future U.S. aid to Ukraine.
Rep. Byron Donald (R-Fla.) is scheduled to be the first speaker Thursday at 10:20 a.m. EST.
Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of the Republican presidential front-runner and named co-chair of the Republican National Committee, is scheduled to speak at 1 p.m.
Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss and former Hawaii MP Tulsi Gabbard (I) are also scheduled to address the crowd on Thursday.
