Migrants mass-released in San Diego as Newsom heads to White House

On Friday, Fox News cameras were on the ground in the San Diego area to capture Border Patrol releasing large numbers of migrants as they dealt with a surge of migrants at the busy border area. California Governor Gavin Newsom was scheduled to meet with President Biden. White House.

Border Patrol buses released the migrants onto the streets of San Isidro, where they were turned over to non-governmental organizations for assistance. From there they proceed towards their final destination.

The immigrants included those from India, Senegal, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador. Their destinations included Atlanta, New York, Chicago and New Jersey.

Hours earlier, Governor Newsom was one of several governors scheduled to meet with President Biden at the White House, and the ongoing historic immigration crisis is likely to be a topic of discussion. Polls show Biden faces dire approval ratings on the border crisis.

The White House called on Republicans to support a bipartisan Senate bill that would surge personnel and resources at the border while limiting immigrants’ ability to apply for asylum. But conservatives say the bill doesn’t go far enough and would normalize high levels of illegal immigration. They instead argue that President Biden can change his policies to resolve the three-year border crisis.
