Cell phone data obtained from AT&T through subpoena strongly suggests that Nathan Wade visited Fulton County Prosecutor Fani Willis’ Hapeville area 35 times, compared to his only 10 visits. That contradicts the testimony, an affidavit filed Friday by Trump’s lawyers alleges.
If this application is true, it suggests that Mr. Wade may have committed perjury. Fulton Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee will decide whether to admit his affidavit and phone records into evidence.
Willis is Wade’s boyfriend and a fellow prosecutor she hired to prosecute former President Donald Trump in election interference cases. Trump and co-defendant Mike Roman have accused Willis of maintaining an inappropriate romantic relationship with Wade.

Wade testified that his relationship with Willis began in 2022 after Willis filed a lawsuit against Trump in 2021.
Although the affidavit appears to contradict that claim, Atlanta Constitution Journal report:
Mr. Trump’s lawyers relied on data collected from Mr. Wade’s cellphone and cell phone tower communications to track his movements. This appears to contradict Wade’s testimony last week that he had visited Willis less than 10 times at her apartment in Hapeville before he was hired in November 2021. It also shows Wade twice arrived at the condo late at night and left early in the morning. The next morning, it was months before Willis and Wade announced their relationship had turned romantic in early 2022.
Wade and Willis testified last week that they did not spend the night together at the Hapeville condo.
…
Timelines are important for two reasons. Fulton’s policies focus specifically on families, but if Willis and Wade were a couple before hiring her, she could have violated at least the spirit of the anti-nepotism rules, she said. The possibility increases. More importantly, both Willis and Wade have testified under oath that their relationship began in 2022. If the defense attorney can prove that he lied under oath, he may be guilty of perjury.
The affidavit states that Willis and Wade called each other 2,000 times and exchanged approximately 12,000 text messages during the first 11 months of 2021.
Mr. Wade argued in his testimony that cell phone records would be inaccurate if they contradicted his testimony.
“So, if your phone records reflect that you made multiple calls from the same location as your apartment complex before November 1, 2021, does that mean your phone records are incorrect? ?” Trump’s lawyer asked Wade.
“What if the phone records reflect that? Yes, sir,” Wade replied.
“They’re wrong, aren’t they?” Trump’s lawyer asked.
“They would be wrong,” Wade said.
