‘Jeopardy!’s’ Ken Jennings hopes Taylor Swift joins Emma Stone if actress is chosen to compete on game show

Is it possible that Taylor Swift will appear on ‘Jeopardy!’?

In a recent interview with USA Today, Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings said it would be “exciting” to have Swift in the audience or as a contestant on the game show.

“Is Emma Stone on Taylor’s team? If Emma appears on the show, could she bring Taylor to the match? Emma seems to be hinting that she’s keeping a low profile during tryouts.” So maybe she’ll be on Jeopardy!’ In disguise,” he joked. “Maybe we’ve already seen her and we didn’t recognize her. We’re so excited for her to continue trying.” .”

The Academy Award-winning actress and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter have been friends since they first met at the 2008 Young Hollywood Awards.

Swift recently cheered Stone on the red carpet at the premiere of her latest film, Poor Things, and also when she accepted the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Comedy. Stone also supported Swift on her Elas Tour last year, when she performed in Glendale, Arizona.

“We’ve been friends for a really long time, so we were lucky,” Stone told Vanity Fair about getting tickets to the show in June. “I’ve known her since she was 17 and 18, and she invited me to come. She was so happy because she knew tickets weren’t going to be available.”

The actress recently made headlines when she revealed that she has been trying to be on the show for years, and that she applies every June but never receives a response.

The application process for the show is long, with contestants having to take two online quizzes and pass an interview stage.

“You can only take the test once a year using your email address, and I’ve never been on that show. I watch it every night and keep track of how many questions I get right. I swear, I think I can go on.’ It’s dangerous,” Stone said on the Variety Awards Circuit podcast in January. “They just say, ‘We’ll let you know in nine to 12 months if you’re going to be on the show.'” And I’m not on the show. ”

“Danger!” has recently made some changes, with one of its co-hosts, Mayim Bialik, announcing in December that he was not asked to return to the show.

At the “Unscripted Storytellers” panel at the 2024 Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, “Jeopardy!” showrunner Michael Davis said he felt “forced” into the co-hosting situation. However, he said he gave up on the role after two seasons. Bialik goes to achieve more “consistency”.

“I think he was right. He talked about ‘danger!'” “This is a symbol of consistency and authenticity for many viewers. It’s part of the ritual of their time.” Jennings spoke to USA Today about Davis’ comments. “They want to show up and know what they’re going to see, not think, ‘Oh, which host will I see tonight?'” And I understand that. I am. ”
