House Democrats are already preparing for Donald Trump to win in 2024.

House Democrats may not certify the vote if Donald Trump wins in 2024, according to a new report in The Atlantic.

The Daily Caller reported:

Senate Democrats indicated Friday that they may not certify the 2024 election results if former President Donald Trump wins, according to The Atlantic.

In oral arguments earlier this month to consider a Colorado ruling that ruled President Trump ineligible to vote based on the 14th Amendment’s “insurrectionist ban,” the Supreme Court ruled that a single state There was no sign that he was persuaded that the president should be able to be removed from office. The judge will address the question of eligibility directly. While criticizing Republican lawmakers who voted against certifying President Joe Biden’s victory in 2020, several Democratic leaders who spoke to The Atlantic said the Supreme Court had no clear ruling on the president’s eligibility. It is reported that if the U.S. Senate does not make a decision, there remains a possibility that President Trump’s victory will not be certified in 2024.

Jason Murray, an attorney representing Colorado during oral arguments, suggested the issue could come up again in Congress unless the justices issue a clear ruling.

“If this court concludes that Colorado did not have the authority to remove President Trump from the presidential ballot for procedural reasons…it could lead to retaliation because ultimately members of Congress may have to make the decision. After the presidential election, if President Trump wins, whether he will be removed from office and whether votes cast for him will be counted under the Electoral Tabulation Reform Act. We will discuss it.”
