Biden’s Presidency Is a ‘Masterclass’ in Leadership

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that President Joe Biden’s term has been a “master class” in how to run the United States.

Anchor Kristen Welker said: 76% of voters say they have great concerns about President Biden’s ability to serve a second term. Given these concerns, do you think it’s responsible for Democrats to make him their front-runner?”

“So what he accomplished in three years was a master class,” Newsom said. “Economics: Nearly 15 million jobs, eight times more than the last three Republican presidents combined. is booming. Inflation is cooling. It’s up .6% compared to just 3.1% in the summer of 2020.”

“The return of American manufacturing is entirely due to Mr. Biden’s wisdom, moderation, and ability to lead in a bipartisan manner, which is underappreciated.” And I have great confidence moving forward. So the answer for Joe Biden’s next four years is completely in place. ”

Welker said, “But these voters aren’t dissatisfied with his record. They’re not dissatisfied with his record. They’re dissatisfied with his ability to defeat President Trump, who you called a lightning bolt, essentially a threat to democracy. We’ve heard many of his allies say in public and privately, “He’s strong, he’s in command, he’s powerful.” Does he need to do more to show that? ”

“I think he’s doing everything he’s supposed to do. I mean, he’s got an extraordinary record. He’s doing everything he’s supposed to do regarding Ukraine at this point. He doesn’t want to politicize the border issue,” Newsom said. While Republicans couldn’t accept a “yes” answer because of that, he’s doing all he can to break the mold when it comes to a bipartisan approach to tackling border issues. He’s in the lead. ”

He added: “Well, from my humble perspective, not only have the last three years been extraordinary, but you know, I’ve been campaigning. I was just out in California. I’ve seen him up close and I’ve seen him from afar. But what I’m trying to say here is that he was so successful because of his age.”
