Moreno spoke. Breitbart News Saturday Host Matthew Boyle spoke after the Alabama Supreme Court ruled that frozen embryos are considered fetuses and anyone who destroys them can be held liable. Some fear the ruling could affect or halt the creation of frozen embryos through in vitro fertilization (IVF) in Alabama.
Former President Donald Trump recently called on the Alabama state legislature to find a way to preserve IVF.
“Under my leadership, the Republican Party will always support building strong, prosperous, and healthy American families. We will not make it harder for mothers and fathers to have babies; We want to make it easier,” Trump said in a Truth social post Friday.
“Like the overwhelming majority of Americans, including most Republicans, conservatives, Christians, and pro-life Americans, I strongly support IVF access for couples looking to have their precious baby. ” President Trump continued. He called on the Alabama Legislature to “act quickly to find an immediate solution to maintain the availability of IVF in Alabama.”
Moreno said, “I’m 100 percent in favor of IVF. Matt, I think any policy I propose would be a policy that would encourage families to have children. Anything we can do to increase the birth rate is great, but as you know, we’re not even keeping up with the current birth rate, which means we’re seeing a decline in the birth rate and we don’t even have a replacement rate at this point. It’s a challenge to our civilization and way of life. So I’m 100 percent in favor of any policy that encourages us to have more babies, including in vitro fertilization.”
Moreno also said in a recent debate:
As a United States senator, I will ensure that we enact policies that make it cheaper to have children. My two daughters now have three children, and having children is really expensive. The second is to reduce breeding costs. Third, ensure that women have access to appropriate medical care.
Moreno said the United States needs a “pro-life culture.”
