A couple who are real estate agents listed a luxury home in the Hollywood Hills. Squatters took over it. I lent it to models on OnlyFans.
Real estate agent Emily Randall Smith told KTLA-TV that they were away for a two-week vacation and returned to find squatters had raided their 9,000-square-foot home. The house was vacant because it was up for sale.
“We came to the house to open it and the lockbox was blocked off. It was very strange. We couldn’t get into the house. He looked in one of the windows and… There was a man lying on the bed,” Smith said.
The real estate agent called the police, but the person inside did not respond to police requests.
“They entered the property from outside and shouted through a megaphone, ‘Get out of the house,’ but they did not comply,” she added.
The realtor said he didn’t want to break down the door and had the police come later. There, she met a renter who said she was an OnlyFans model. She said she paid $2,000 to rent it for a month and record the content.
Smith said he believes the squatters concocted fake leases and had people sign them to make them look official. There were about 4 to 5 people living in the house.
Although police were able to force the fake tenants out of the house, Smith says they caused a lot of damage at the party.
“The house was in a mess,” Smith said. “There was dog poop and pee all over the house. There was the smell of weed, alcohol, everything.” They were having a party. ”
She said neighbors told her people were having a party at the house.
In a similar story in August, squatters took over another mansion in the Hollywood Hills worth more than $10 million. They destroyed the house and spray-painted the walls before police forced them out.
Smith deters squatters by putting up “no trespassing” signs to assist law enforcement and by getting to know neighbors so they can alert them of any strange incidents. He said it was possible.
While the average home in the Hollywood Hills sells for more than $2 million, according to To Jiro.
