Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (Republican) claims that Porn giant Aylo, which owns websites such as Pornhub, Not following national instructions Recently, an age verification law was enacted.
Paxton filed suit against Airo for violating state law that requires pornographic websites to “take reasonable age verification measures to ensure that persons viewing pornography are 18 years of age or older.” Ta.
The lawsuit alleges that Airo’s website “does not use reasonable age verification methods” as required by law, and seeks to force the company to comply.
“AYLO GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT, INC. and AYLO USA, INCORPORATED publish or distribute sexual content harmful to minors on the Internet without implementing reasonable age verification methods as required by Section 129B. doing so has harmed, and continues to harm, the children and youth of Texas,” the suit says.
Paxton said in a press release that the Lone Star State has the “right to protect our children from the harmful effects of pornographic content.”
“Instead of complying with Texas law requiring providers of obscene sexual material to implement age verification systems, the company immediately presented pornographic content to minors who visited its website,” the release said. It’s dark.
“We look forward to holding companies accountable who violate age-verification laws designed to protect minors from being exposed to harmful and indecent content on the internet,” Paxton continued.
Paxton’s lawsuit seeks to pay Airo up to $1.6 million ($10,000 per day) from mid-September of last year until the date the suit was filed.
