A homeowner in Saline County, Arkansas, told police he was on his way home Tuesday when he spotted a man coming out of his residence and that the man pointed a gun at him.
It turned out that the owner of the house also had a gun, so he was well prepared for the confrontation, and in the draw he was very quick.

Saline County Sheriff’s Department told KARK-TV Deputies responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in the 10000 block of East Sardis Road. When officers arrived, they found the homeowner, who told them he had called 911, the department said.
The homeowner said he saw the suspect come out of his home and point a gun at him, KARK reported, adding that he pulled out a gun himself and fired at the suspect in self-defense. Ta.
Law enforcement officials told the station the suspect, identified by authorities as John Nutt of Little Rock, fled the home.
According to KARK, a team searching the area found Nat with stolen items and took him into custody. The sheriff’s office also announced that the suspect was found with a gunshot wound, but his injuries were not life-threatening. MySaline.com.
Nutt was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, authorities said, adding that Nutt is expected to be charged with burglary and aggravated assault.
Officials told KARK that the investigation into the shooting is ongoing, but added that they do not expect the homeowner to face any charges.
