in post In a post shared with his 7.4 million followers on Instagram, the two-faced superstar announced his marriage to a Japanese woman, although his partner’s name was not revealed.

“I want to make an announcement to my friends and fans. Not only am I starting a new chapter in my career with the Dodgers, I am also starting a new life with a very special person from my home country of Japan.” I wanted everyone to know that I am now married,” Ohtani, 29, wrote.

But while Ohtani’s blockbuster contract boasts deferrals, he will only receive $2 million in pension money, with $68 million paid each season between 2034 and 2043.

Although Ohtani won’t pitch next season after undergoing elbow surgery in September, he made a strong impression in spring training earlier this week, hitting a home run in the Dodgers’ 9-6 win over the White Sox.

The Dodgers open the season on Wednesday, March 20th in South Korea against the Padres.
