A girl was walking to school on Long Island Thursday morning when she discovered her severed arm on the side of the road.
When police searched the scene, they found another arm and a severed leg nearby, New York authorities said.
Suffolk County police said the girl’s severed left arm was found along a road near popular Suthers Pond Park in Babylon.

She called her father, who called 911.

Eventually, a police dog found the right arm near where the other arm had been, went to the other side of the park, and found the severed leg sticking out of a pile of leaves.

Police said both arms appear to belong to a man.
