Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) said during an appearance on the show that Democrats “should be nervous” about losing Michigan. Breitbart News Saturdaydiscussing the state of the race and what he believes will happen next.
Rogers, a former congressman and chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, noted that many Reagan Democrats have become Trump Democrats.
“The places that really matter are where the Reagan Democrats have now become the Trump Democrats. …That means Democrats should be nervous about what’s going on here in Michigan. And obviously the Democratic Party has been the party of the elite. You know, they don’t buy their own groceries. They don’t pump their own gas. That’s why they’re like, ‘Everything is fine.’ “I’m running around the country saying, ‘I’m here now,'” he said.
“Well, unless you work for a living, but here in Michigan, we work for a living. I think this sends a very clear message, but… That’s why I think that puts the president in the best position to actually win Michigan. We’re going to win Michigan, we’re definitely going to win,” Rogers predicted. “Donald Trump will be the next president and Mike Rogers will be the next U.S. senator,” he said.

“That’s why Democrats are so nervous, saying they’re going to put $100 million to $150 million here to stop us, and we’re not going to let them do that. I think they run all over the state,” he said briefly. He’s discussing the 100,000 uncommitted voters opposed to President Joe Biden. He noted that it was driven in large part by the Muslim community, which is angry about Biden’s stance on the Israel-Hamas war.
But second, Rogers said, Democrats have a “black male problem here in Michigan.”
“They’re moving away from the Democratic Party. They realize their lives are better under President Donald Trump. Their 401k’s are bigger. Their job opportunities are better. Their groceries cost less than $950 a month. In fact, I always say, the most expensive vehicle that will be operating here in Michigan in 2024 will be a shopping cart. “This no-strings-attached vote shows that where Democrats are really divided, we have an advantage,” Rogers said, adding that Democrats have “huge” problems and divisions in Michigan.
