Kyle Larson won his first win of the 2024 NASCAR season Sunday by holding off Tyler Reddick in the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Hendrick Motorsports’ No. 5 driver won the Las Vegas fall race last season, giving the team its second win in the first three races of the season. Redick almost made it to fourth in the championship last season, but it wasn’t enough to catch Larson on the final lap.

Larson celebrated his victory on the frontstretch with his son Owen.
“I knew Tyler was the guy to win from the first stage,” Larson told FOX Sports’ Jamie Little after the race. “He was really fast there. I was hoping they would keep the race going a little longer. He was running hard and I felt like I was going to time out where the Toyota caught me at the end. Because I did.”
“Thankfully, we were able to air block him for a few laps and tighten it up.…Anyway, great job by this Hendrick Cars Chevrolet team. Just the way they executed.”

Defending NASCAR champion Ryan Blaney finished third, with Ross Chastain, Ty Gibbs, Noah Gragson, Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano and William Byron rounding out the top 10. .
The NASCAR season begins next week in Arizona with the fourth race of the season at Phoenix Raceway.

Byron is the last race winner. Blaney won the championship and Chastain won the November race.
