Fox looked dapper as ever in an all-black ensemble that included a black turtleneck, a Dolce & Gabbana sport coat, and black slacks.

He paired his sophisticated look with shades and black leather shoes.

Prior to the ceremony, the Burial actor posed for photos with actress Jurnee Smollett, 37, actor Courtney B. Vance, 63, and actress Nia Long, 53.

He and Datari Turner were then handed gongs by the trio on stage. This award recognizes the Fox production company’s continued efforts to showcase inclusive storytelling.

The awards ceremony took place nearly a year after Fox was hospitalized with mysterious “complications.”

He was hospitalized on April 11, 2023, and his daughter Corinne revealed that he was in poor health at the time.

After weeks of adverse reports regarding his health and hospitalization status, Foxx took to his Instagram page on May 3, 2023 to assure his fans that he was in the healing process and thank them for their support. He said he is doing so.

Finally, on July 22, 2023, after receiving some positive information from those around her, Fox returned to Instagram to talk about her condition.

He refused to say exactly what happened to him, but was adamant that he was never blind or paralyzed, as some have theorized.
