Rollerblade wheels ‘infused’ with cocaine found by cops

A Rollerblade wheel injected with cocaine was discovered in a package being shipped from Colombia to Wisconsin, leading to a drug investigation that led to the discovery of more than $30,000 in drugs and fake documents, authorities said.

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) team conducted a joint operation Friday to execute a search warrant at a residence in Kenosha.

A week ago, the sheriff’s office was notified by HSI that a package containing a set of Canary roller blades had been intercepted en route from Bogotá, Colombia, to Kenosha. official Said.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection deemed the rollerblade wheels “suspicious,” so the package was flagged and the wheels underwent a series of tests.

“It was later determined that the wheel had been injected with a gelatinous substance that tested positive for the presence of cocaine,” the sheriff’s office said.

Authorities then obtained a warrant and HSI assisted with a “controlled delivery” of the package to the Kenosha address.

Once residents of the home accepted the delivery, the sheriff’s tactical response team swooped in and executed a search warrant.

The search uncovered 1,048 grams of cocaine with an estimated value of $35,000. $3,475 in cash. Transfer documents totaling more than $30,000 from Kenosha to Bogotá, as well as “obscene” forged documents, including fake permanent resident alien identification cards, social security cards, and Colombian identification cards.

The investigation remains “active and ongoing” and charges are being sought against the suspects involved, the office said.
