At least 19 people were shot, two of them fatally, over the weekend in Mayor Brandon Johnson’s (D) Chicago city.
ABC7 report In one of the weekend’s fatal shootings, a 17-year-old boy was shot to death Saturday night in a parking lot in the “500 block of West Roosevelt Road near Canal Street.”
When I was 17 years old, identified Like Jeremy Smith.Chicago Police Department I got it. Smith was shot in the chest and neck, police said.
A 15-year-old boy was also shot but is expected to survive.
A 22-year-old man shot dead Saturday night as I sat in my car at a stop sign.
He was riding in a car “in the 2500 block of South Trumbell Avenue in Little Village” when someone got out of the sedan and opened fire, hitting him in the head.
The man died a short time later at Mount Sinai Hospital.
As of 2024, 65 people have died in Chicago. according to of Chicago Sun-Times.
