A leader of anti-Israel protesters harassed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) outside a movie theater Monday night, demanding that she call the war in Gaza a “genocide.”
The video showed several protesters chasing Ocasio-Cortez and her fiance as they exited the Alamo Drafthouse, repeatedly shoving cameras in their faces.

“You refuse to call this a genocide,” one protester can be heard saying.
The lawmaker responded, “I want people to understand that this is wrong.”
“It’s wrong not to actively oppose genocide when it’s happening,” the protester countered.
“You’re lying!” Ocasio-Cortez retorted.
Protesters then chased her down an escalator and demanded that she say the word “genocide.”
“If you can’t say it, say it. Literally. We’re just talking to you like normal people. Say it’s a genocide. Just say it. Over 30,000 people are dead. , AOC, can’t you just say it once?” another protester shouted.
The protesters cited “figures from the Hamas-run Gaza Ministry of Health” and said: I got it. By Fox News.
“Say the word, that’s all. That’s all we want you to say,” the protester insisted.
At one point, the congressman’s fiancée, Riley Roberts, confronted them outside the building and implored them to stop as they walked on the sidewalk. When her protesters accused Ocasio-Cortez of worrying about her comments going viral, she countered that her comments would be taken “completely out of context.”
“I’ve already said it. And you’re all going to pretend it didn’t happen, over and over again. It’s a mess. And you’re not helping these people. You’re not helping them. “We haven’t,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
Ocasio-Cortez has previously criticized Israel’s response to the October 7 massacre and even called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
“We are witnessing the level of corruption in Gaza that is becoming morally untenable,” she said in February.
