Army removes claim Princess of Wales will attend event in June | Catherine, Princess of Wales

The military reportedly removed a claim on its website that the Princess of Wales would attend an event in June after it appeared to have published it without approval from Kensington Palace.

Tickets for Trooping the Color, which will take place on June 8th, are on sale and Catherine’s appearance is being advertised. Details of the event were reportedly made public due to the Princess of Wales’ role as a colonel in the Irish Guards Regiment, which will lead the force this year.

However, it is understood the military did not seek approval from her official office, Kensington Palace, before publishing the page. The website will be updated soon.

Duchess Kate has been recovering from abdominal surgery for the past seven weeks and was expected to recover until at least Easter, although a specific date for her return to royal duties has not yet been announced.

The military website said King Charles attended the main ceremony, also known as the birthday parade to mark the king’s official anniversary.

The princess was seen driving near her home in Windsor amid speculation about her health. Images of her circulating online showed the princess wearing sunglasses sitting in the front seat of a car driven by her mother Carole Middleton.

She was discharged from hospital on January 29 and is recuperating at her home in Adelaide Cottage, near Windsor Castle.

Speaking on her discharge from hospital, a Kensington Palace spokesperson said: The Prince and Princess would like to express their huge gratitude to the entire team at the London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for their care.

“The Welsh family continues to be grateful for the blessings we have received from around the world.”

It was understood at that point that her return to public life would depend on medical advice as the time approached.

The king, who is undergoing treatment for cancer, has also postponed all official duties. But he continues to work behind the scenes in the state paper’s red box and have some in-person meetings.

Prince Charles was photographed on Tuesday having a Budget audience with Prime Minister Jeremy Hunt at Buckingham Palace ahead of Wednesday’s important financial report.
