With the tagline “Woman Pave the Way,” the game will allow users to select female players in an MLB simulation game. TMZ Sports.

The game’s designer, Molly Braley, claimed to have taken inspiration from real-life female athletes such as Toni Stone and Kelsey Whitmore.

Braley also argued that having female representation in professional baseball is “important.”

“We learned about the immense importance of community and support among the small but growing group of women in baseball,” Braley exclaimed. “She is one of the main reasons we chose to include a sidekick character in RTTS for the first time.”

“This is a feature that goes beyond just allowing players to create female ballplayers in-game,” Braley continued reverently. “It also aims to highlight the strength, tenacity and resilience required to break into this sport, but without shying away from the challenges that many have faced.”

Atlantic League women’s player Kelsey Whitmore agreed, adding that the game is an important step in encouraging girls to play professional baseball.

Of course, it would be easy to use game code written to simulate men playing baseball to replace the male image on the screen with a female form. For women, achieving professional baseball-level accomplishments in real life is something entirely different.
