Peyton Manning wants to join forces with Bill Belichick

Peyton Manning is looking to team up with his longtime nemesis.

The star NFL quarterback turned analyst is eager to bring former Patriots coach Bill Belichick to his entertainment company, Omaha Productions. According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic:.

Belichick’s New England defense was some of Manning’s main opponents during his 15 seasons with the Colts and Broncos.

The stoic coach parted ways with the Patriots at the end of the 2023 season, ending his 24 seasons with the team and cementing his place as one of the game’s all-time greats.

Despite a Hall of Fame-worthy resume, Belichick was unable to find someone to induct him in 2024.

There’s been a lot of speculation that the 71-year-old might end up on TV, and reports say pursuing Manning is a logical step.

Marchand said he has already spoken with CBS and NBC, and that Pat McAfee has said he is trying to bring Belichick to run ESPN and YouTube.

“We’re doing our best to have Bill Belichick on this show at least once a week going forward, at least once a week during the football season,” McAfee said in a statement on his name in February. He spoke on a program titled. “Can you imagine us giving Bill Belichick pepper peppers every week during football season? It’s about whether he wants to go into the media world and whether he wants to be on our particular show. Or not.

“There’s a chance he’ll say he can’t do it.”

Fox is set to have Belichick’s former QB Tom Brady join the channel’s lead booth this season, and former Patriots stars Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman have already joined the station. Not considered a top candidate for service.

Manning and his brother Eli, famous for twice defeating Belichick in the Super Bowl with the Giants, excelled in their second careers as “Monday Night Football” analysts on ESPN’s alternate broadcast “The Manning Cast.” .

Adding Belichick to Omaha’s stable of sports greats, including David Ortiz, Sue Bird, and former Alabama coach and longtime Belichick friend Nick Saban, would be a huge win for Omaha.

Even so, this media challenge may not last long for the notoriously tight-lipped defensive mastermind.

Belichick is 14 wins away from Don Shula’s total of 347 wins.

It is believed that if he gets the job, he will want to return to a leadership position to pursue his record.
