Six-Figure Ad Running During SOTU Blames Biden for Laken Riley’s Murder

A nationwide six-figure ad buy scheduled to take place during President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address (SOTU) on Thursday night will target an undocumented immigrant currently accused of killing a 22-year-old boy. The government has been accused of releasing them to the United States. Laken Riley of Athens, Georgia;

The $700,000 ad buy from the nonprofit Building America’s Future will run across the United States, including key battleground states like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.

“Laken Riley could have escaped in broad daylight without being killed by illegal immigrants. But Joe Biden has promised not to deport illegal immigrants,” the ad begins.

On February 22, Riley was found murdered in a wooded area on the University of Georgia campus after a morning run. The next day, Jose Antonio Ibarra, 26, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, was arrested and charged with murder.

Ybarra was released into the U.S. interior from the U.S.-Mexico border in September 2022, thanks to Biden’s parole pipeline, which releases tens of thousands of illegal aliens each week.

“So when Jose Ibarra entered the United States illegally, he wasn’t deported. He didn’t go to jail. Biden also supported sanctuary cities,” the ad continues.

In August 2023, several months before Riley’s murder, Ybarra was arrested and charged with child injury in the sanctuary city of New York City. Ybarra was released from prison before Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials placed him in custody.

Then, in October 2023, Ybarra was cited for shoplifting approximately $200 worth of merchandise from a Walmart in Athens. In December 2023, a warrant for Mr. Ybarra’s arrest was issued after he failed to appear in court on charges.

“[W]Jose Ibarra was arrested in New York City for child endangerment, but was released a second time. Ybarra went to Georgia where he bludgeoned Laken Riley to death,” the ad reads. “How many more murderers has Biden released?”
