NBC News chief political analyst Chuck Todd said Thursday on MSNBC’s “The Chris Jansing Report” that former President Donald Trump’s debate with President Joe Biden won’t help voters. Ta.
Jansing said: “Where do you put the chances that a discussion will actually happen?”
Todd said, “I think it’s pretty low. I would be surprised if there was a debate. It’s very difficult to justify being on the same stage as President Trump knowing where the conversation is going.”
He added, “If Trump is serious about going down the path of the Commission on Presidential Debates, then Joe Biden is a traditionalist and an institutionalist. “We have already made the decision to allow the candidate to have an intelligence conference. There are many people who are worried that he will be subjected to such a sensitive briefing.”
Todd added: I don’t know, I understand, and frankly it’s kind of funny to me that Trump is calling him that now, because I don’t think they’re going to help him. Arguments won’t help him. I don’t know if they’re going to help Biden, but I don’t think he’s going to help Trump much. Normally, Trump’s increases never help win over volatile voters. ”
