Jon Stewart Treats Illegal Alien Crime as a Laughing Matter, Doesn’t Mention Laken Riley

In a recent episode of Comedy Central daily showreturning host Jon Stewart treated violent crimes committed by illegal aliens as a farce, dismissing them as a story concocted by Republicans in an election year.

Stewart did not mention Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student from Georgia who was recently killed while jogging. Jose Antonio Ibarra, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, was arrested and charged with Riley’s kidnapping and murder.

Ybarra first arrived at the southern border in September 2022 and was released into the interior of the United States under Biden’s parole pipeline.

On Monday’s show, Jon Stewart mocked voters’ growing concerns about illegal alien crimes, prompting a collective laugh from the live audience.

At one point, Stewart suggested that allowing illegal immigrants into the country was part of “unwavering, rock-solid American values.”

“When it comes to immigration, Democrats hold fast to our nation’s cherished ideals: the eternal promise carved at the feet of the Statue of Liberty, speaking to her better angels,” Stewart said with apparent sincerity. .

Like many media outlets, Stewart did not distinguish between legal and illegal immigrants.

Illegal alien crime is a growing concern among Americans on both sides of the political divide as the Biden administration allows millions of illegal aliens into the country without screening.

As Breitbart News reported, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials arrested Earlier this year, a 31-year-old illegal immigrant from Haiti was charged with rape, indecent assault, and assault on a developmentally disabled person in the Dorchester neighborhood of the sanctuary city of Boston, Massachusetts.

Last week, an illegal alien was charged with killing 27-year-old Washington state trooper Christopher Gadd in the sanctuary jurisdiction of Snohomish County, Washington.

In October, 11 illegal alien men were charged with drugging and raping three girls in Minnesota.

A recent AP poll found that illegal immigration has surged as a key political issue ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
