Legendary heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson is set to make his long-awaited return to the ring later this year.
Tyson’s fight against YouTube star turned boxer Jake Paul, scheduled for July 20 at AT&T Stadium outside Dallas, will be Tyson’s first fight in nearly four years.
Reactions to the fight have been mixed, but former Pittsburgh Steelers star Le’Veon Bell believes his next fight will end in a knockout.

Bell believes “Iron Mike” will do well in the early going, but eventually “get tired and get knocked out.” The former NFL running back responded to X’s video of Robert Griffin III sparing with 57-year-old Tyson.
Bell’s premise seems to primarily revolve around the age difference between Tyson and Paul.

Tyson, once known as the “baddest man on the planet,” turns 58 years old a few weeks before the fight. Meanwhile, Paul turned 27 earlier this year. Paul’s boxing record is 9 wins and 1 loss.

A few months ago, Bell appeared to challenge Paul to a fight, expressing confidence in defeating the social media star.
“I’m going to stop him. I’m going to stop Jake Paul,” Bell said on the “No Jumper” podcast in August. “It’s hard to knock someone out if you don’t want to be knocked out. . . . He’s not going to go eight rounds with me. Some of those influencers are fighting eight rounds with me. No one, actually.”

Bell last appeared in the NFL in 2021 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His best years as a professional football player were with the Steelers. He was named to his three All-Pro teams, and in Pittsburgh he was a three-time Pro Bowler.
However, Bell hasn’t fared all that well in the boxing world. He has a record of 1 win and 1 loss in his limited time as a boxer. Bell also faced Adrian Peterson in an exhibition, which Bell won by knockout.

Tyson released a statement saying he was excited to “get in the ring” to face Paul.
“I’m really looking forward to getting in the ring with Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas,” said Tyson. “He’s grown a lot as a boxer over the years, so it’ll be a lot of fun to see how the ‘kid’s’ will and ambition can impact the GOAT’s experience and aptitude.” . It’s a full-circle moment. Beyond being a thrill to watch, I started his boxing journey on the undercard of a fight with Roy Jones and now I’m going to finish him off. ”
Netflix will stream the game on July 20th.
